Goodbye 2017, hello 2018!

Goodbye 2017, hello 2018!

2017 has been an thrilling year for NADJA.

We had a total makeover: we re-designed our logo, changed our website’s layout. All to enhance your reading experience.

We had exciting interviews with the inspiring journalist Ifrikia, the amazing refugee camps midwife Jeanna and the super-talented band Salute Yal Bannot.

We also had some great features on a wide range of topics. We covered the Albanian Sworn Virgins, why women don’t code and why they should, the women who fought against forced sterilisations, how the future of Saudi Arabia is female, and how Wendy Carrillo went from undocumented to running for U.S Congress. To name just a few.

A big thank you to our guest writers Taya Titchenell and journalist Samantha Miles for their respective articles: How women changed country music and How Standing Rock Inspired Noel Altaha To Take On New York Food Waste.

And that’s it for 2017. It has been a great year, but 2018 looks even brighter!

Our biggest news: we are thrilled to introduce Leila Hawkins as a co-founder. Leila is a very talented journalist whose articles have been published, among others, in The Guardian, Broadly, and Kering. There is no doubt that her contribution will be invaluable in our mission to give you a different perspective on news and amplify women’s voices.

We are also starting a newsletter, click here to subscribe!

As for the rest… you’ll just have to wait and see!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!
